Monica is a wordsmith and business strategist whose work is shaped by the Stone Soup folk tale, especially the idea that when we bring together the things we’ve hidden, the community as a whole can be fed and nourished. Using this as her main lens she helps business owners design and implement sustainable business and marketing strategy. She also works with authors to hone their words (and structure their book) so they can share their ideas with the world. In her free time, Monica can be found turning her yard into a native plant sanctuary (to the chagrin of her HOA), cuddling with her cats (who really run the household), and spending time with her bonus nephews and their parents.

In Episode 4 of Body Stories Monica shares about:

  • Her parents influence on her body image and how that shifted over the years.

  • The things that didn’t help with body image and what did.

  • Learning to find joy in movement again and feel deep gratitude (cliche but true!) for her body.

  • Advice about what to do if you’re struggling with self love.

  • Cultivating a relationship with her body instead of trying to control it.

  • And more!
